An invitation to a deeper experience of life
Our bodies are designed to feel deeply.
But most of us are strangers to our bodies while we are in them.
Because of the ability to feel so deeply, our bodies can be greatly impacted by (and hold the stresses of) past emotional and traumatic events, affecting the central nervous system and causing changes in the body, and even in body language. Our altered nervous systems can even have the pestering tendency to create and feed thought loops, often resulting in a disconnected experience of life, and leading to depressive or anxious states of mind.
Through deepening awareness of the mind-body connection using the embodiment classes I lead, you can release the shame, grief, fear, guilt, anger, and other residual emotions that remain in your body from these past negative experiences.
The goal is to help free you from the stress and pain that is preventing you from fully engaging in your life.
What is embodiment?
Embodiment is feeling the sensations that reveal the presence of the body.
It is the process of becoming intimate with our bodies, simply feeling what is there to be felt.
We rely very heavily on the body to know more than we know consciously, and it does. Connecting you back to what you’re feeling in the present moment gives you present moment information about what’s happening inside, allowing you to set proper boundaries, and granting you the ability to move through things and not stay stuck.
The embodiment practices I offer are gentle, sensitizing practices we can use to connect us back to the entirety of our present moment being. And intimacy with our present moment bodily experience allows for real comprehension and connection, and a rich, fully embodied life.
Let me help you find your own way home to you.
